Let’s read a brief review of celebrating the Blessed Virgin Mary assumed into heaven at the Gunung Sahari Complex:

We need to know that the Blessed Virgin Mary was ‘assumed’ into heaven, and not ‘ascended’ into heaven. ‘Assumed’ means not by her own power but by the power of God, while Jesus ‘ascended’ into heaven by His own power. For Catholics, the event of the Blessed Virgin Mary assumed into heaven is a reminder of our hope for the resurrection of the body at the end of time, where we as believers, if we live faithfully and obediently to God until the end, then we too will experience what God promised: that we will be assumed into heaven, body and soul to be united with Him in heavenly glory. With this, the Gunung Sahari Complex from kindergarten, elementary, junior high and vocational levels held a Mass together in the school field. The sequence of Mass celebrations this morning are as follows:

Opening Part. The Mass was led by Father Ari Setiawan from the Purwokerto diocese.

Part of the Liturgy of the Word. The content of the reflection delivered by Father Ari is that we are invited to learn and emulate the attitude of the Blessed Virgin Mary in receiving the Word of God. The Blessed Virgin Mary remained faithful in her life and followed Jesus even in the most difficult times. We are all invited to be faithful in our faith in God. In this celebration, we are also invited to be diligent, honest, ready to carry out our duties, and willing to sacrifice for others

Part of the Eucharist The reception of the body and blood of Christ went smoothly and orderly.

Closing Part The Mass was closed by Father Ari by receiving blessings from God.

After celebrating the Mass of the Blessed Virgin Mary assumed into heaven, the children of kindergarten, elementary and junior high school were ready to return to their respective classes except for vocational school that continued their activities for the August 17th competition 2023.
